Lavonna Lee “Bonnie” Guindon, 92

1929 – 2021

Bonnie Guindon went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 24, 2021. She was born to George and Ethel Mead in Bossburg, Wash., on Feb. 12, 1929. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roy Guindon; three children; Theodore Guindon, Kathy Martin (Richard), Robert Guindon (Donn); five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Phillis Takahara of Tacoma, Wash.; brother Wilber Mead of Post Falls, Idaho; and sister, Ramona Francis of Post Falls, Idaho.

Bonnie was an aluminum analyst at Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane Valley and retired after 30 years.

Bonnie was the rock of the family. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She loved snowy days and especially Christmas and decorating for the holidays. She was famous for her delicious Christmas fruit cakes and rosettes…friends and family couldn't wait to visit and enjoy her holiday treats.

Bonnie loved horse racing and even owned her own horse. She loved her church and attending life groups weekly.

A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bonnie's life at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Real Life Ministries, Building 2, 1866 N. Cecil Rd., Post Falls, Idaho.

A potluck social will follow the service.
