HAMMOND: One for us all

In this time of national and local social turmoil, economic uncertainty, and heavy-handed local partisanship, we need a mayor with experience and deep roots in our community. Jim Hammond is exactly that person.

Jim’s experience as mayor of Post Falls, state senator, educator and business man make him uniquely qualified to shepherd Coeur d’Alene through the coming hard times. He is a lifelong conservative Republican, but knows that this position is nonpartisan and that he would answer to all the voters of Coeur d’Alene and not some party machine.

His opponent is running because he is “angry,” but Jim is running because he is excited and optimistic about our future. Jim will approach the office with a spirit of community and cooperation, and I am excited to support him. I urge you to do the same.
