CDA SCHOOLS: Thoughtful, experienced leaders

| October 27, 2021 1:00 AM

We firmly believe that a high-quality public school system is the backbone of our community. As parents of two students in the Coeur d’Alene School District, we see daily how it cultivates their curiosity, challenges their young minds, and creates well-rounded citizens. We are exceptionally grateful for the committed and dedicated teachers who foster their growth and development every day.

Our district needs thoughtful, experienced leadership to guide us through these dynamic times both now and into the future. Current hot button issues will ebb and flow but the business of governing our district will persist. Planning for adequate facilities to serve our growing community, recruiting and retaining high quality teachers and facilitating locally based curriculum standards are just a few of the key topics that will face our school board in the coming years. We need competent and committed school board leaders who will support our teachers, dig into complex issues, take input from their diverse constituents and make wise decisions for the future of our children.

We believe Rebecca Smith, Lisa May and Lindsey Swingrover have the experience and qualifications to lead our district into the future and deserve your support on Nov. 2.
