Prep football: Two tiebreakers tonight to decide playoff berths
Two tiebreakers are scheduled in North Idaho tonight to determine playoff teams in 5A and 1A Division I.
In 5A, Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and Lewiston will square off at Bear Field in Moscow at 6 p.m.
The winner earns a first-round bye and a home game in the quarterfinals next weekend. The runner-up plays host to Capital of Boise in a first-round game this weekend. If Coeur d'Alene or Lewiston finish third, that team would earn an at-large berth, and travel to Eagle this weekend in the first round. If Post Falls finishes third, Borah would get the at-large berth and play at Eagle.
In 1A Division I, Lakeside and Wallace meet at Post Falls High at 6 p.m. The winner advances to play at Oakley in the first round this weekend; the season is over for the loser.
Here are the state playoff matchups, as announced by the Idaho High School Activities Association. The 3A bracket is waiting for two tiebreakers to be played today before it is completed.
