Clarence John Dunlap, 69

John Dunlap went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021. He was born in Meadville, Pa., on March 12, 1952, to Homer M. Dunlap and Elizabeth Arlene (Shellito) Dunlap. John was one of nine children and was preceded in death by two of his sisters, Charlotte and Louise.

John was a very dedicated, loving and selfless father and husband. He never complained but always gave everything to care for his family. He was dearly loved by many and will be deeply missed until we are all united again with our Savior very soon.

John was raised in Linesville, Pa., and graduated from Linesville High School in 1970. After some years had passed, he moved to Wilmington, Del., where he met Denise Shambaugh, his wife of nearly 34 years. In March of 1989, they had their daughter, Sarah, and in 1990, their son, Jonathan. In 1995, John and his family moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where they have resided in the same home until the present.

John was a dedicated employee at FedEx. He was a courier there starting in 1987 until his death. He served his route in Sagle, Idaho, and the surrounding area.

John Dunlap is survived by his wife, Denise, two children, three grandchildren and their beloved family dog, Little Bear.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Candlelight Christian Fellowship in Coeur d’Alene, 5725 N. Pioneer Drive Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, 83815, where John was a loyal member. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Riverview Cemetery, 1001 Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
