Women's Gift Alliance opens grant applications

Nonprofits seeking to make a significant impact in Kootenai County have the chance to receive $25,000 through the Women's Gift Alliance grant program starting this week. 

The Women's Gift Alliance is a membership organization that provides "meaningful financial support to a broad range of charitable, cultural and educational projects within our community." As of 2021, WGA has gifted over $1.1 million back into over 100 Kootenai County organizations through grant funding. 

In the 2022 grant program, three nonprofits will receive a $25,000 gift for their demonstration one or more of the following:

Addresses a community problem

Enriches the fabric of the community

Fosters collaboration or partnership

Creates a bold new venture 

Projects that make it to the finalist round will also receive an award. 

Preliminary application forms are available online at womensgiftalliance.org. All submissions must be postmarked and mailed to the organization by Nov. 9.
