Hunt, a sophomore from Timberlake High, earned Cascade Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the third time this fall. The second-year Coyote, from Athol, broke C of I's 7,000-meter cross country record on Friday afternoon at the Steven Reeder Memorial in Logan, Utah, helping the squad to the team title — defeating NCAA Division I teams Utah State and Weber State in the process. Hunt clocked a time of 21:29 — despite running at 4,500-feet of elevation — 31 seconds faster than the school record set by former All-American Alex Martin, on the same course three years ago.
