NIC GOLF: Swan second, Cardinal men tie for team title at Spokane invite

SPOKANE — North Idaho College sophomore James Swan finished runner-up with an even-par 142 at a Northwest Athletic Conference tournament, which concluded Tuesday at Indian Canyon Golf Course.

NIC finished tied with Bellevue for the men’s team title, finishing the two-day tourney with a 583.

In the women’s tournament, NIC freshman Bella Gopwani finished fifth with a 166, helping the Cardinals take third.

Spokane won the women’s team title with a 495.

NIC concludes the fall season at the Olympic NWAC Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima.
