COEUR d’ALENE — Senior midfielder Kohrt Weber had two goals and an assist for the Timberwolves in a nonleague win over the Dragons at the Irma Anderl Soccer Complex, the program’s 10th shutout of the season.

“We are finally starting to get back to full strength from a long period of midseason injuries, so it was nice to get back to our midseason form,” Lake City coach Alan Rich said. “We defended really well, with our 10th clean sheet of the season and after some halftime adjustments, we possessed better and had several quality scoring chances against a much improved St. George’s team.”

Lake City won 11-0 at St. George’s in Spokane on Sept. 8.

Senior forward Noah Janzen had two goals for Lake City (15-0-1), which opens the 5A Region 1 tournament at 2 p.m. on Saturday against an opponent to be determined.

Sandpoint (11-0-0) hosts Coeur d’Alene Charter on Thursday.
