Absentee ballot deadline fast approaching

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the Nov. 2 election is Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. 

Citizens must make absentee requests on an annual basis as they are only viable for one calendar year. Voters can submit an absentee request at www.voteidaho.gov. 

Individuals can also email, fax, or mail the 2021 request form to the Kootenai County Elections Office. The 2021 absentee ballot request form and additional voting information are available at www.kcgov.us/301/Absentee-Voting. 

All requests must be in by the Oct. 22 deadline regardless of sending method. 

Residents can contact the Elections Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (208) 446-1030, kcelections@kcgov.us, or at the 3rd Street location near downtown Coeur d’Alene.
