A 23-year-old Coeur d’Alene musician is releasing his first album, “Palish Landscape,” on Saturday.

“I’m very excited,” Bailey Allen Baker said. “I have a lot of nervous energy about it."

Baker is a singer/songwriter who performs mostly solo sets, sometimes performing with a live band. His studio recordings for his debut, he said, are best described as swampy, lyric-driven, alternative western tunes.

Specializing in guitar, Baker said he has been playing music for eight years and writing songs for three.

“It's the best way I feel like I can get across what's happening on the inside of my head,” Baker said. “I think it's the most succinct way I have of portraying how I think.”

Palish Landscape was written and arranged by Baker, and produced/engineered by Shadrach Tuck at Mishap Recordings. The album features Baker along with Shadrach Tuck on bass, Tanner Tuck on drums and Frankie Tillo on electric guitar. It was mixed and mastered by Joshua Lewis, and recorded in November of last year.

Baker will be performing at The Black Diamond in Spokane at 7 p.m. on Saturday with his full band for an album release party.

The show costs $5 admission at the door, however, the charge is refunded with a merchandise purchase. Drinks, band T-shirts and vinyl preorders will be available.
