COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Post Falls High sophomore Kylie Munday has been selected among junior athletes from across the United States to participate in USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) National Beach and Indoor Winter Training Series on Dec. 27-30 in California.

The indoor program will take place at the national teams’ training center in Anaheim while beach athletes will train in Manhattan Beach.

Munday, selected to the U17 team, will compete in Anaheim.

Athletes were identified and invited to the program based on recommendations from the NTDP Scouting Network.

Players will train in groups with some of the nation’s top coaches during six sessions across four days. Some athletes who have been identified in both indoor and beach volleyball will follow the Hybrid Track that allows them to do three sessions indoors and three on the beach.

“I am excited to train and work with some of the best up-and-coming talent in our sport,” said three-time beach volleyball Olympian Holly McPeak, a coach with Elite Beach Volleyball who will coach on the sand. “I am passionate about growing the sport and helping our young athletes compete at the highest level.”

Training will focus on the volleyball skills, systems and mindsets that lead to success at the international level, according to a press release. Athletes will have free access to the NTDP Academy (find out more about the NTDP Academy and how to subscribe) and will receive individualized feedback from coaches after the program is over.

Munday, a setter/right side hitter, recently helped Post Falls to a fourth-place finish at the state 5A volleyball tournament.
