LEAVES: Pick-up gets poor review

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great thing that our city provides a leaf pick-up each year. Perhaps, though, maybe the DAY OF, we should be raking the mess into the middle of street, because it would appear that the city street maintenance is afraid to get near the curbs, as is the street sweep, since the last two years have been a lousy job.

I’d be hard pressed to guess whether the effort put forth is due to low pay grade or if they are simply lazy and have no pride in the work they put forth. Seems we have both these issues in the majority of work places these days. In both instances, it’s not exactly doing your business any favors.
