DEMOCRATS: Community steps up

The Community Outreach Committee of the Kootenai County Democrats recently put out a call for our annual food drive. Once again, the community answered that call.

Because of the generosity of our KC Dem members and the community at large, our volunteers gathered over 600 pounds of food and over $2,000 to the benefit of both the Post Falls and CDA food banks. All told, that equates to about 4,000 meals that will help to feed our friends and neighbors in our communities.

We cannot thank our community enough for their donations. We’d also like to thank the parks department in both CDA and Post Falls for the use of convenient parking lots for our “drive-thru” collection sites.

We are wishing everyone a safe and bountiful Thanksgiving!
