Jean Marie Fleetwood, 89

Jean Marie Fleetwood went to be with the Lord on Nov. 12, 2021. She was born on Oct. 14, 1932, to Wilbur and Ruth Bond in Seattle, Wash. She graduated from Prairie Bible College in 1954 and soon after married George Fox. They went through two years of training at Regions Beyond Missionary Union, and then went to India as missionaries for six years. George divorced Jean in 1985.

In 1986 she met and married Steve Arkin. They moved to Post Falls, Idaho. They were married 12 years when Steve passed away in 1998. After that she met and married Bob Edstrom in 1999 and worked with him as jail chaplains for nine years. Bob passed away in March 2010. Jean continued doing bible classes at the jail. She met Johnny Fleetwood and they were married in 2010.

Jean always had a heart for sharing the love of Jesus. She started at the age of 14, and continued sharing the gospel throughout her entire life.

She is survived by husband Johnny Fleetwood; sister Phyllis Lay; sons David Fox and his wife, Donna; Rick Fox and his wife, Darlene; and George Fox Jr. his wife, Michele; daughters Alice Smith, Ruth Emma Fink and her husband, Zal, and Joyce Lyznick and her husband, Rob; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She will have a celebration of life on Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. at His Place Church, 3079 E. 16th Ave., Post Falls.
