KIDS: Lazy and spoiled

I am responding to a letter from Jan Marie. Lady, you get my vote!

It’s a shame more parents don’t have the same opinion as you, and myself too. I raised my girls to earn what they wanted just as I did as a youngster. I baby-sat for my spending money and saved for whatever I wanted.

I’m proud of my daughters who raised their boys the same way and those boys are raising their boys the same way. If they want something, they save up until they have enough to get it.

Kids these days are so spoiled, they expect everything to be given to them. They have NO work ethics. It’s about time they learned that everything in life is NOT free and don’t depend on the government to provide everything.

It’s time you parents out there wake up and put some backbone in your lazy kids and stop handing them everything frivolous that they ask for.
