Chapman, a senior, won the 200-meter dash in a state record 24.61 seconds, the 400 in 55.94 and was the anchor leg on winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams at the state 5A meet on Saturday at Eagle High. “She was ridiculously good this weekend,” Lake City coach Kelly Reed said. “To go 55.94 in the 400, and get pushed, it just showed her strength. I was worried that she might be a little tired for the 200, but her 200, it was absolutely gorgeous.”
