EDUCATION: Going wrong way

| May 21, 2021 1:00 AM

During my Army service, I was trained to know my enemies and never underestimate them. Wednesday’s edition of the The Press listed several and confirmed my training.

These people would never point a gun at me and demand my wallet. They would never walk up behind my wife and snatch her purse. Yet, they have no problem using the ballot box to steal the honest earned wealth of those of us on fixed incomes.

I cannot debate the legality of allowing the Post Falls School Board Collectivists a second bite at the tax apple. I have asked Representative Wisniewski and Senator Riggs to weigh in on this issue. My petitions for redress have been met with craven silence. So much for representative government.

Dismiss me, if you will, as a bitter Army veteran. But, I am a retired peace officer and a credentialed teacher. I have worked as a teacher’s aide at a high school in Kootenai County. I have witnessed the results of “Public Education.”

I have watched these baby-sitting factories bested academically on a yearly basis by STEM/Charter Academies, private schools, and home-schooled students. Res ipsa loquitur — the thing speaks for itself.

The manufactured statistics and propaganda by the PFSD School Board bureaucrats will have a receptive audience among the clueless new arrivals to North Idaho. They will most likely get their pound of flesh from us this second time around. Sad that.
