Support Local Gems initiative on Friday

Idaho Sen. Jim Risch and the Idaho Department of Commerce have teamed up for the second Support Local Gems initiative on Friday, which urges support of Idaho small businesses as they come off a year of significant challenges.   

"Idaho small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities and the backbone of our state’s economy," a press release said. "However, many are still recovering from the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic."

Idahoans are asked to spend money at a small business, dine at a restaurant, buy a gift card, write a review online, "or simply saying thank you to a small business they love," the release said. "We encourage you to get out and support other Post Falls businesses."
