COEUR d’ALENE — Nominations are now being accepted for the 25th annual Mayor’s Awards in the Arts.

• Supporter of the Arts

• Arts in Education

• Student Arts in Education

Nomination deadline is Aug. 31.

Nominees may be businesses, organizations or individuals who have, through distinguished service or creative accomplishment, made a significant contribution to the arts in Coeur d’Alene. Nominees do not need to be based or have residence actually within city limits. Current arts commissioners and family members are not eligible, nor are staff and committee chairpersons for the commission.

Past recipients are ineligible to be nominated who won in the same category. For instance, someone who won Supporter of the Arts in the past can be nominated for Excellence in the Arts.

Recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Hagadone Event Center. The awards ceremony is a free gala event for the public with a social hour featuring live music prior to the awards presentations.
