NIC SOCCER: Cardinal women shut out in first match since April 24

WOMEN

COEUR d’ALENE — North Idaho College, playing its first match since April 24 due to COVID-19 protocols, was held to one shot on goal in a 2-0 loss to Walla Walla Community College in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday at Eisenwinter Field.

NIC (1-4-1, 1-4-1 NWAC) had matches against the Community Colleges of Spokane on May 1 and Blue Mountain on Wednesday canceled due to virus issues within the program.

Halle Romero and JuliAnna Ventura scored goals for Walla Walla (5-1-4, 5-1-4).

NIC hosts Yakima Valley on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

NIC (3-3-1, 3-2-1 NWAC) hosts Wenatchee Valley on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
