Kimberly Ann Gallagher (Lamb), 53

Kim, our beautiful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and all-around good friend to many, was suddenly taken from us on May 2, 2021.

She was born Sept. 7, 1967 in Auburn, Wash., to Collin and Sharon Lamb (Krell). She spent her childhood in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School. She married Chris Gallagher in 1989 and had three beautiful children: Brittney, Selina and Travis.

Kim built a career in real estate as a title officer, and she later relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to continue her career at First American Title Company.

Kim is survived by her grandmother, Patricia Ann Poe of Spokane; her parents, Sharon Krell of Spokane and Collin Lamb; wife, Kathryn Orr of Post Falls; her three incredible children: Brittney Wells and her husband, Mark, Selina Gallagher and her significant other, Nick, and Travis Gallagher and his wife, Joy, all of Spokane; and five precious grandchildren: Daniel, Weslyn, Wyatt, Adilyn and Harper. She is also survived by her brothers, Reggie Lamb and his wife, Penny, and Jason Strahl and his wife Heather, both in Spokane, and her two sisters: Tammy Duenas of Palm Springs, Calif. and Cathy Perrins and her husband, Dave, of Chattaroy, Wash., as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was a woman of great character and strength and made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She worked hard and played hard and was loved by everyone.

On any given weekend she could be found hanging out with family and friends at her favorite spot on the Pend Oreille River or the nearest campground, where many wonderful memories were made. Whether it was stories by the campfire, marshmallow fights, games around the table, or hide and seek with the kids, she was always smiling and enjoying life.

When you were around her you just could not help yourself from smiling too. She always had a Chihuahua or two in tow, which she loved second only to her family. She could always be counted on to have the fun games in her trunk, to kick you out of her camp chair if you dare sit in it and she made it clear that no one was to use or sit on her beach towel. She could school you in Farkle and she loved to go to the casino. Friends and family teased her a lot and she dished it right back.

She had a very competitive spirit and was driven to succeed and care for her family, despite the many barriers she faced throughout her life. She was never one to whine or complain about life’s challenges. Instead, she merely lined them up one by one and kicked them out of her way. She was full of life - and most of all loved her family, her friends and her two little dogs. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. There will be a huge hole in our hearts that will never mend.
