NIC ROUNDUP: Mims leads Cardinal men in return from COVID-19 pause

MEN'S BASKETBALL

COEUR d’ALENE — Julius Mims, a freshman from Billings, Mont., had 20 points and seven rebounds for North Idaho College in a 98-70 win over Big Bend in Northwest Athletic Conference play at Rolly Williams Court on Tuesday.

It was the first game for NIC since April 16 due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the program.

Delveion Jackson, a sophomore from Centennial High in Boise, had 17 points and 10 rebounds for NIC (4-0, 4-0 NWAC), which shot 21 of 35 from the free-throw line.

Jahvonta’ Jones scored 27 points for Big Bend (1-5, 1-5). Zack Welch, a sophomore from Wallace High, had three points for the Vikings.

NIC hosts Wenatchee Valley on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
