Prayer gathering on Thursday

The Coeur d'Alene Ministerial Association is putting on a National Day of Prayer celebration from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at the McEuen Park Veterans Memorial Plaza.

It will include music and prayers led by area pastors. Each will pray for different areas including branches of government, elected leaders, youth and national repentance.

About 400 people attended the event last year and another large crowd is expected this year.

It is the 70th National Day of Prayer observance.
