NOTICE OF 2021 HAYDEN LAKE CURLY-LEAF PONDWEED TREATMENT Dear property owners and lake users, Curly-leaf pondweed has been identified as a significant invasive species within Hayden Lake, Idaho and is known to negatively affect the beneficial uses of a waterbody. As such, an aquatic herbicide treatment is planned for a portion of northern Hayden Lake the week of May 17, 2021, based on water temperature, plant growth and weather permitting. The treatment timing was selected to maximize treatment efficacy when Curly-leaf pondweed is actively growing. Approximately 297 acres of the lake will be treated during one treatment event with liquid penoxsulam (Galleon©, EPA Registration # 67690-47). NOTICE OF INTENT TO SUBMIT STATE PLAN AMENDMENT AND SOLICITATION OF PUBLIC INPUT The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Division of Medicaid (Department) provides public notice of impending changes to the Idaho Medicaid State Plan, as required by 42 C.F.R. § 447.205. The Department assures these changes are in compliance with 42 CFR§ 440.345 and 42 CFR§ 447.204, and with the provisions of section 5006(e) of the ARRA of 2009. Medicaid has solicited input from Idaho's Tribal representatives regarding these changes in compliance with section 5006(e) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and its Tribal Consultation Policy. The new methodology will ensure high quality of care while reducing overall costs. This change is to align with the goals established in 2020 Idaho Legislature's House Bill 351, which directed the state to establish a new prospective payment methodology based on the criteria listed above.
