VIETNAM: A day to remember

| March 28, 2021 1:00 AM

National Vietnam War Veterans Day is Monday, March 29.

Please remember this important national day of observance, enacted by legislation in 2017, in honor of all who served in active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from Nov. 1, 1955, through May 15, 1975.

Millions of men and women served during this time, around the world, including in Vietnam. Many who served in Vietnam experienced horrific events, as well as exposure to Agent Orange, and they quietly harbor their permanent injuries. Yet, everyone who served, in any capacity, answered the call, and each one honored their pledge to defend our great nation and freedom.

When you see a Vietnam veteran, please remember their sacrifice, and let them know how much you appreciate them. Be sure to fly your flag tomorrow. Also, this important day is not on many calendars, so please write to your calendar’s publishing company and ask them to include it.
