North Idaho Softball Club second at Spring Worlds

LAS VEGAS — The North Idaho Softball Club went 4-2 and finished second in the Major/Major+ division at the Masters Spring World tournament March 23-25.

Four members of the North Idaho team earned all-tournament honors — third baseman Tim Coles (.800 on-base percentage), left fielder John Walkington (.727), outfielder Dennis Wolff (.722) and catcher/outfielder Ron Geffre (.758).

Other team members included shortstop Lee Libera (.865), outfielder Marlin Harris (.750), outfielder/catcher Wayne Becker (.867), outfielder/second baseman Doug Gray (.839), first baseman Wade Edington (.800), catcher Greg Hart (.600), pitcher Ray Hofstad (.619), Chris Hammonds (injured) and coach/utility Jim Palombi.
