Notable calls for the day!

03-22-01

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the northeast corner of Huetter Rd and Seltice Way regarding a welfare check of a female and her two children. Upon his arrival he contacted a female from Federal Way WA. She had not slept in days, appeared to be having some mental health issues and medication issues. Deputies placed her on a PC hold due to her not being able to care for herself and the two children at the time. She was taken to Kootenai Health the two children were shelter with CPS. 21-12080

• Deputies responded to E Chilco Rd X N Abbott Rd regarding a welfare check of a person sitting in their vehicle for four hours. Upon his arrival he contacted a female who was under the influence of Methamphetamine. During his contact he located Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested for Poss of Controlled Substance. 21-12082

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to The Chateau Mobile Home Park for a possible Assault & Battery between children that live in the park. There were 4 kids playing and at some point one child ended up on the ground the father who saw his kid on the ground go upset and called us. Deputies stated it was kids being kids but the father was insistent a report be completed and charges be filed. Deputies took the report.

• Deputies responded to N. Kensington Ave. for a missing person. An R/P called in to report her husband did not return home from work. There was nothing suspicious initially but she said this is not like him to be gone like this. An initial report was taken.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies handled a supplemental report reference to the missing from the previous shift. The male called and stated he was stranded up near the St. Joe lodge but was safe and was making his way back to his residence.

• Deputies responded to E. Half Round Bay Road for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival deputies learned it was a verbal argument and no crime was committed.

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• SIU Detectives, with assistance from other Detectives and CIU executed a Search Warrant at the Lighthouse Motel in Coeur d'Alene. A male was arrested for PWI Methamphetamine after approximately a quarter ounce of meth was recovered, along with a scale and baggies. A second male was found to be in possession of meth paraphernalia and was arrested on an Agents Warrant at his Probation Officer's request and cited for Possession of Paraphernalia. A third male was cited for Frequenting.

• Deputies responded to W. Spuler Ln in Hauser Lake for a "shots fired" call. A neighbor called in to report there was someone on the adjacent property who was shooting a pistol. Call notes indicated the RP was "concerned" and gave a brief description of the subjects. Sometime later the RP called back again and was able to provide a vehicle description along with a Washington plate. As units arrived in the area, the vehicle was spotted and appeared to be fleeing. A pursuit was initiated but quickly self-terminated by the Deputy when he lost sight of the fleeing vehicle.

• While units remained in the area the searching for the vehicle, a CSO found a bag, believed to be tossed from the vehicle and he stood guard over it until a patrol deputy arrived to collect the abandoned/found property. A large amount of heroin (over 3 ounces), pills and meth were discovered in the bag.

Evening shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to JDC and arrested a juvenile on an outstanding warrant.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress at in the area of N. Reed Road. The R/P reported he was in Hawaii and watching surveillance video of the above mentioned address and sees motion in his shop and believes it was actively being burglarized. Deputies set up a perimeter and cleared the building. No forced entry was observed and nothing appeared to be tampered with. Deputies cleared with call notes. 21-12273

• A Deputy responded to W. Coeur d’ Alene Dr in Spirit Lake for a suicide threat. A male reported receiving a group text message from a juvenile female saying “goodbye”. Deputies made contact with the juvenile female and learned she was in a “mood” and sent the text indicating she didn’t want to talk to anyone anymore so she replied to a text with “goodbye”. Deputies cleared with call notes. 21-12268

• Deputies responded to E Ohio Match Road for a suicide threat. An R/P reported a male was heavily intoxicated and threatening suicide. Prior to the intoxicated male leaving the property, he fired two rounds from his handgun. Deputies were ultimately able to make contact with the male and they placed him in protective custody and transported him to KH. 21-12258

• Deputies responded to a structure fire at E. St. James Ave. Occupants of the house were able to evacuate the residence that was actively on fire. The fire was not suspicious in nature. 21-12262

• Deputies arrested for a warrant at English Point Trailhead for his warrant for possession of paraphernalia. 21-12288

• A Deputy stopped and arrested a male at Hwy 53 X Chase Rd. He was arrested for DUI (.177/.189). 21-12283

• A Patrol Sergeant stopped a vehicle at Seltice X Beck. The driver was arrested for his KCSO warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Upon arrest, the Sergeant located Heroin and methamphetamine on the male. The driver’s passengers were also arrested for paraphernalia.21-12290/21-12287

• Deputies responded to Bennett Bay Inn for a suspicious male. The R/P reported a male was in a car displaying a badge and identifying himself as law enforcement. The R/P described the male to be in a royal blue passenger vehicle with yellow writing similar to California Highway Patrol. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Notable calls for the day!

03-24-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• CIU worked the area of Hwy 95 and Hwy 58. A Deputy stopped a vehicle with a male and female near Hwy 95 and Putnam Rd. After an investigation, both arrested for possession of heroin and issued citations for possession of paraphernalia.

• A CIU Deputy stopped a female at Hwy 58 near MP 1. After an investigation, she was arrested for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and heroin. Her truck was impounded and taken to the Sheriff's Office for additional processing.

• Deputies responded to N. Merriweather Rd. for a possible physical domestic. Upon their arrival they contacted a female who said she was "kicked and choked out" buy a male. The male was charged for domestic battery.

• Multiple units including our Civilian Professional Staff responded to E. Deep Shadow Ln for a possible missing 3 year old. The residence is on Hayden Lake so Marine and Dive units were notified and were in-route as well. An Animal Control Officer was the first unit on scene and was able to relay the child was located by the mother.

• Deputies responded to the Burlington Northern Railroad property in the Post Falls area for a possible trespassing. The suspect was described as a 15-20 year old female that hid every time a train would pass by. Units checks the area but were unable to locate anyone in the area.

Evening shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a report of a Traffic Hazard on Prairie Ave. west of Hwy 95. The RP reported a white male had walked out in the middle of traffic, and was waving his arms all over. The Deputy located the male and warned him about being in the roadway. 21-12378

• A Deputy handled a citizen dispute call from a male on Trails End. He was concerned about another male having been released from PSB and returning home. The R/P did not articulate any crimes or safety concerns from this night, ultimately having only questions about protection orders and the eviction process. 21-12417

• A Deputy handled a citizen dispute call in Spirit Lake-east, stemming from a road rage situation. The parties involved had both made poor decisions with their behavior in front of children and were warned. 21-1276.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Kathleen Ave. X Schreiber Way. As a result of the stop, the Deputy arrested the female driver for DUI. 21-12423

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy contacted a male at Corbin X Elk Dr. and arrested him on his KCSO warrant for failure to insure his vehicle. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. He was also arrested on those charges. 21-12432

• A Deputy responded to I90 MP1 for multiple vehicles that had slid of the interstate. ISP handled primary. 21-12434

• Deputies stopped a vehicle at Stateline Showgirls. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. He submitted to a breath sample of .134/.127. 21-12433

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Kathleen X Schreiber. The driver showed signs of impairment. Deputies arrested the female for felony DUI (4 priors). She submitted to a breath sample of .263/.267. 21-12423

• A Deputy came upon a single vehicle crash at Highway 97 X Bell Canyon. The vehicle had airbags deployed, but no one was on scene. A report was taken. 21-12451

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Hayden Ave. X. Eileen Ct. He cited and released the driver for possession of paraphernalia. 21-12460
