Joyce Mould, 91

Joyce H.M. Mould, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021, at home, surrounded by family. She was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to Celia M. and Gerald M. Prendergast.

Joyce married Alfred “Bud” Mould on Aug. 1, 1950, in London, Ontario. After being blessed with their children's births, they emigrated to Southern California in August, 1965. Deciding they preferred a more seasonal climate and less air pollution, though, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, became the family's hub in January, 1970, with Bud's General Telephone transfer. Having previously worked for Bell Telephone of Canada, Joyce was quickly welcomed by GTE. She retired from General Telephone after a long career as a switchboard operator — central office receptionist.

Joyce had a wonderful smile and was a kind and loving person. She especially enjoyed taking long walks and spending time with her grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her three children: Pamela Oliver, Kimberley Hanson and Geoffrey Mould; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
