Clyde Mutch, 95

Clyde Mutch passed away of natural causes at Schneidmiller Hospice House on Dec. 7, 2020, at the age of 95. He was born at home in Murrayville, Ill., to parents Robert and Mildred (Jones) Mutch. He attended a one-room, rural grade school and graduated from Palmyra Community High School in 1943. He served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946 in Italy during WWII.

Clyde completed a plumbing course at David Rankin Trade School in St. Louis, Mo., in 1948. He then moved to San Diego and worked for Rohr Aircraft. He began working as a postal clerk in San Diego in 1950, retiring as data systems management officer in 1981.

Clyde moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1982. He married Fran Rasmussen in 1983. Clyde traveled extensively before meeting Fran and they continued to travel until her death in 1997. Clyde worked for the Hagadone Corporation from 1997 to 2008, in security. He enjoyed his job, made many friends and was honored to work at Casco Bay for Duane and Lola Hagadone.

He met Hermie Frank in 1999. They were together until her death in 2016. They had a wonderful life together, enjoying their home at Lake Tower, overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Clyde is survived by a loving family and many friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ryan Gilles, Mike Szymanski, and Nurse Tammy Sue at Kootenai Family Health, as well as Hospice of North Idaho.

Arrangements were provided by Yates Funeral Home. Interment was held at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 2290 W.
