Chasing canines with scissors

Chasing canines with scissors is a doggone bad idea.

Kootenai County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an assault report in the area of the North Idaho Centennial Trail near the Jacklin Seed building in Stateline on Wednesday.

"A male charged at a female and her dogs with scissors because her dogs had chased him in the past," the report said.

The man told deputies he was chasing the dogs away, but he "agreed that it could appear that he was threatening the dog’s owner."

The dog's owner said she felt scared but did not want to press charges.
