Man succumbs to crash injuries

Joshua D. Edelblute, 31, of Rathdrum, died Wednesday as a result of injuries suffered in an ATV crash on Saturday.

Idaho State Police investigated the single-vehicle ATV injury crash on State Street in Rathdrum.

Edelblute was traveling southbound on State Street at Roth Court on his 2016 Red Alterra ATV. According to ISP, he lost control, rolled the ATV on the roadway, and was ejected from the ATV.

Edelblute was transported by ground ambulance to Kootenai Health. He was not wearing safety equipment, according to ISP.
