Kathy Smith-Hoffman, of Rathdrum, Idaho, age 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 14, 2021, after a hard and fiercely-fought battle with ovarian cancer.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and best friend of 53 years, Elmer Hoffman; mother, Maysel Smith-Gartner; daughter and husband, Dennell and Craig Rutledge; son and wife, James and Dawn Hoffman; and son and wife, Corey and Jennifer Hoffman. Kathy had seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she deeply loved and cherished.
No funeral service will be held, per her final request. Her family will be holding a private celebration of life in her honor.
She will be so deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
