Larry Dean Jenkins, 83

Larry Dean Jenkins, 83, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 12, 2021, in Athol, Idaho. He was born April 16, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa; the son of Estil and Frances Jenkins. He grew up in Nebraska and graduated from Plattsmouth High School. After he graduated high school, he worked for his parents at their restaurant that they owned.

Larry then joined the Army and served his country for three years. After completing his service from the Army he moved to California. There, he worked for Lockheed as a security officer for 35 years. He met his first wife, Joyce, and they were married for 34 years. After Joyce passed away, he retired from Lockheed and moved to Idaho.

Larry met his second wife, Fahn, and they were married in 2008 and resided in Athol for 24 years.

His hobbies were fishing and working on his land, and he also loved country music.

He will be joining his late wife, Joyce, daughters Ronda and Debbie and his mother and father, along with the rest of his loved ones who passed away before him.

He is survived by his wife, Fahn; daughters, Jamie (John) and Kim (Tim); grandchildren Paige (Kevin), Hannah (Jacob), Daniel, David (Amanda), Ben and Kayla; and great-grandsons, Ty, Christian and Cameron.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, with a burial at the Riverview Cemetery with Military honors to follow services.
