David Martin Meyer, 52

| March 17, 2021 1:00 AM

David Martin Meyer was born in Coeur d’Alene to Kenneth R. and Nyla J. Meyer on Sept. 13, 1968. David passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

He attended Lakeland School District for 12 years before he graduated and went on to attend North Idaho College. In his younger years he worked for Jacklin Seed Co. David was a carpet-layer by trade.

While in school David participated in baseball, football and wrestling. He truly enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and he loved to go bowling. He also liked traveling and sitting in a hot tub. The real treat, however, was eating a nice piece of homemade mince-meat pie.

David is survived by one son, Joshua David (18 years old) of Rathdrum; his parents, Kenneth and Nyla; one brother, Todd R. Meyer; one aunt, Ivonne Meyer of Hayden; one cousin, Caryn (Mark) Sweitzer and their two daughters, Linsay and Baily of Spokane; two nephews, James (Hanna) Meyer and Brett Meyer; and one great-nephew, Dawson Meyer (1 year old).

A graveside service for David will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum. There is no reception planned to follow. Please make donations to Kootenai County Humane Society in Hayden, or to your charity of choice.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Please visit David’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
