Notable calls for the day!

03-12-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled a theft at the Spirit Lake Boat House. A female had given a ride to another female and when she got out of her car to get gas, the female took her bank cards and later took around $2,600 out of her bank account (21-10660).

• Deputies decided to start an emphasis in Stateline Village and between them they made 40 traffic stops, clearing 16 with citations, 23 with warnings, and two with seized drugs. They did have two vehicles flee to Washington before they were able to call out stops and discontinued each time. They also saw some pull into Stateline Village, see the LE presence and turn around and head back to Washington.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies arrested a female for her misdemeanor FTA-Injury to Child warrant from a contact in Post Falls. 21-10624.

• Deputies responded to a report of a fight in the gas station parking area of WalMart-Hayden 500 W. Honeycuckle Ave. The RP advised a female had exited a trailer and was screaming in the parking lot, and it appeared there was some altercation or fight occurring inside the trailer. Once under control, units discovered that no crimes of violence occurred between engaged couple however, both were in possession of methamphetamine and were placed under arrest. 21-10654

• A Patrol Sergeant stopped a vehicle at the Ameri-Mart in Stateline. The driver was charged for DWP and for mara/para. 21-10655

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near Seltice X Baugh. The Deputy arrested a male for a Texas Felony Drug Warrant (Fugitive from Justice). 21-10668

• A Deputy Cutler responded to a welfare check on a female. The female’s step son called worried about her due to friends not being able to get a hold of her. The residence appeared intact and neighbors stated that they had last seen her pulling her garbage can in from the driveway this afternoon. Her vehicle was not in the garage and another neighbor advised that he thought she was going to see a musician tonight. The RP was advised. 21-10612.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Highway 41 and Mullan Ave. The driver had a misdemeanor warrant out of Bonner County. She was arrested on the warrant. She was also in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was cited and released on the drug charges. 21-10667/21-10689

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Highway 95 and Highway 53. He made contact with one of the passengers, a 15 year old female and learned she had left her residence without the permission or knowledge of her parents. Her father, was contacted and confirmed this, although he did not want the female charged with runaway at this time. She was given a ride home. 21-10671

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Seltice Way and Innovation Way. He made contact with the driver, who exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. The driver failed SFSTs and was arrested for DUI. A marijuana vape pen was located in the vehicle. Based on a drug evaluation it was determined the driver was under the influence of drugs. The driver was arrested for 2nd offense DUI and for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 21-10676

• A Patrol Sergeant stopped a vehicle at Seltice Way and Baugh Way. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. The driver failed SFSTs and provided breath samples of .142/.141. He was arrested for DUI. 21-10679

• A Deputy contacted a vehicle that was parked behind Discount Tire. He made contact with a male who claimed to have previously had an arrangement with management that he could collect any items left outside. The male did not have possession of any items that would have come from the tire store. An FI was completed. 21-10685

• A Patrol Sergeant stopped a vehicle in the Kon Tiki parking lot. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. He failed SFSTs and was arrested for DUI. The driver also had two non-extraditable warrants out of Colorado. The driver’s driving privileges were suspended out of Alaska. The driver became uncooperative and did not submit to a breath test. He was arrested for 2nd offense DUI and charged for DWP. 21-10691

• A Deputy observed a vehicle parked in the roadway on Ante Rd. at Stateline Rd. He also located a male laying in the roadway. He contacted the male who was extremely intoxicated. The male was less than cooperative and was transported to Kootenai Health to be placed on a hold due to his intoxication level and possible head injury from falling. 21-10693

• Deputies responded to a trespassing. The R/P called to advise five people were on his property near a shop and were not welcome. He claimed to have fired shots in the air and called out to the trespassers, but they would not respond to him. Once Deputies arrived, they searched the area and found no evidence of anyone being on his property. There were no footprints in the snow where the R/P claimed the trespassers to be. It appears the male is possibly suffering from mental health issues. 21-10699

Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A CSO responded to N. Meyer Rd. for a mal inj. The R/P woke up to having all 3 of his vehicle's tires flat. All 12 tires had been slashed.

• A Deputy stopped a MC on Govt Way X Wilbur for no plates. Upon contact with the operator, the Deputy learned that the bike was not registered, he was suspended, he did not have an endorsement, and he was in possession of marijuana/paraphernalia. The operator was arrested.

• A Deputy stopped a male for driving while on his cell phone in the Stateline area. A K-9 Deputy and his partner arrived to assist. The driver provided the K-9 Deputy his marijuana prior to even an exterior sniff of the vehicle. He was cited for the traffic offenses and mara/para.

• A K-9 Deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Stateline for a traffic violation. After contacting driver he learned that he was suspended out of other states for more than 20 years. As a Deputy started issuing citations, the driver provided the K-9 Deputy the marijuana from her vehicle prior to a search of the car. Additional marijuana and paraphernalia was located during a search. She was issued traffic and mara/para cites.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Stateline for a traffic offense. Upon contact with the driver, the Deputy observed marijuana in plain sight. The driver was issued a citation for possession.

• A Deputy responded to a substantial 2 vehicle collision on Appleway X Wellsley. Upon arrival, it was clearly in WA and blocking lanes. Spokane Co. stated they would respond, but would be over an hr. They requested KCSO complete a swap form. We were able to help get the roadway clear and the drivers got their own tows per SCSO.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the Stateline area for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, a K-9 Deputy and his partner responded. Prior to deploying K9 Bailey, the driver handed the Deputy his marijuana. He was issued citations for traffic and mara/para.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Stateline for a traffic violation. After contacting the driver the Deputy learned she was not licensed to drive and was overwhelmed by the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. The Deputy seized approximately 1 oz. of mara. She was cited for the driving offenses and possession of mara/para.

• A Deputy contacted a patron in front of the El Patio bar after he noticed the potential driver was unsteady on his feet. They expressed their happiness with our large presence in the area, but requested to provide a breath sample because "There was no way they were leaving the parking lot with all those cops around". He was a .04 at 1300 hrs.

• A Deputy responded to a report of an unattended death. Nothing suspicious observed and several known health problems.

• A Deputy responded for an unattended death. The female suffered from multiple medical issues and was in known poor health. Nothing suspicious noted.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to a Property Damage Crash at Prairie X Ramsey. One vehicle rear-ended another. Non-Injury 21-10783

• Several Deputies responded to the area of Hayden Creek after a RP advised multiple vehicles were headed to the area for what appeared to be a Juv. Party. On scene units located approximately 30 people, both adults and juveniles, who were preparing for a large party. Social media reports indicated that the party was expecting upwards of 200 people. This was probably true given that approximately 75 vehicles were turned around after the deputies showed up. 21-10805

• A Deputy responded to for a reported trespassing. This is the second call in as many days to this residence where the male is reporting people are wearing "glow suits" "50 people at least" and trespassing on to his property and climbing inside of his equipment. Once on scene, the male continued to have delusions and hallucinations-seeing people that were not there. Due to the male having fired rounds the night prior and his hallucinations persisting and worsening while being disgruntled at his neighbor (who had no real involvement), the Deputy placed the male on a PC Hold. 21-10810

• A K-9 Deputy stopped a vehicle on I-90 near mm 11. After speaking with the driver and assistance from his K-9 partner, a trafficking amount of Meth was located along with other marijuana and other paraphernalia. A female was arrested for the meth and her male passenger was cited and released for poss of mara/para. 21-10826

• A Deputy responded to an Animal Bite. On scene she learned a group of children were playing basketball in an area where a German shepherd resides with its owner. An adult male came to play with the kids for a few shots, and then cut himself when he fell. This concerned a juv. male and when the juvenile went onto the property to make sure the adult male was okay, it caused the dog to chase him. The dog bit the juvenile on the ankle which caused him to fall, once on the ground, the dog bit juvenile’s ear. The juvenile’s mother sought medical help for him at an urgent care, and the dog was quarantined at home.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Patrol Sergeant stopped a male as he left Nashville North with no headlights. He was arrested for DUI Excessive .272/.250/.247 21-10821

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Pleasantview Rd and 5th Ave. The driver had a suspended driver's license. He was cited and released for DWP. 21-10856

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Pleasantview Rd. and Seltice Way. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. He failed SFSTs and provided breath samples of .167/.166. He was arrested for 2nd offense DUI. 21-10862

• A Deputy contacted a male in a vehicle on Ante Rd. behind Nashville North. He was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was cited and released for the related charges. 21-10865

Notable calls for the day!

03-14-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy initiated a traffic stop at HWY 53 x N. McGuire Rd for a failure to stop at a stop sign. Upon identifying the driver it was learned he had an active warrant out of KCSO. While conducting the vehicle inventory there was possible stolen property from a construction nearby located along with some drug paraphernalia. The male was booked into KCPSB for his warrant and the Deputy is waiting to hear back from the builder to get a dollar amount on the stolen property. Additional charges for Theft/Grand Theft will added once the owner has been contacted.

• A Patrol Sergeant responded to a welfare check. After contacting all the parties involved it was determined the child was fine and the incident had to do with custody issues. No crime occurred however the incident will be documented.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy handled a call regarding a child abuse. 20 YOM had bruising on his legs from his "flailing around" while under the care of his father. The mother felt the father should be watching him closer to prevent these issues. An incident report was taken. 21-10921

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to the Casino along with Tribal PD for a possible Cardiac call. A female with a child was reported to be unconscious and unresponsive inside a vehicle parked in the parking lot. Tribal PD arrived on scene and contacted an intoxicated female. Tribal PD handled primary. 21-10155

• Deputies responded to a business alarm. Upon arrival, Deputies located broken glass on the inside panel of a double window. The glass appeared to be old and the building was secured from the outside. Deputies completed an incident report. 21-10997

• Deputies responded to a welfare check. KH reported an intoxicated male calling in requesting a ride to KBH because he was hearing things and didn’t feel safe. Deputies responded and contacted a male who was intoxicated but lived with his parents (who were on scene). He did not meet the elements of a protective custody hold. Deputies completed an FI. 21-10977

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Hwy 53 X Greensferry and arrested a male on his felony warrant out of Washington for leaving the scene/hit and run. 21-11002

• Deputies responded to a family dispute. The R/P stated his two juvenile sons were in a physical altercation and breaking things inside the residence. At one point, one of the juveniles had a pocket knife. Prior to deputies arriving on scene, the boys were separated and had calmed down. Deputies arrested a juvenile male for battery and transported him to JDC. 21-11003
