| March 15, 2021 1:00 AM

Julie Jennings Cisney passed away Dec. 1, 2020, in Las Vegas. She joined her parents Patrick D. Jennings and Sheila F. Davis Jennings to rest in eternal peace.

Julie was born Feb. 18, 1959, in Helena, Mont. She was raised in Billings, Mont., and attended the historic Rimrock Elementary School, Lewis and Clark Junior High School and Billings West High School. As a child she enjoyed cooking and creating crafts with her mother.

In 1976 her family moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and opened the Corner Pocket, now named Paddy’s. Julie graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1977. She married Doug Cisney in 1978, then welcomed only child, Casey, in 1980. Julie, Doug and Casey moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in the early 1980s, while Doug worked in the construction industry.

They returned home to Coeur d’Alene in the late 1980s to raise their family in Post Falls. Julie worked at Paddy’s for several years; she served her patrons with quick-wit and sarcasm and she was fondly regarded. She then ventured out on her own with a mini doughnut and hamburger food truck, where she catered special events. She moved to Las Vegas in the early 2000s, where she worked in the service industry and as a nanny.

Julie held a close bond with her Aunt Irene, her father’s older sister. Until Irene’s death the two communicated frequently. Julie loved to play pool and adored her small dogs. She will be remembered fondly by her friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Casey Cisney; former husband, Doug Cisney; brother, P.J. Jennings and several nieces and nephews.
