WORLEY — In March of 1993, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe opened a small bingo hall. Twenty-eight years and seven expansions later, the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel is a symbol of success.

“I’ve been honored to watch the Coeur d’Alene Casino survive and thrive for 28 years and I believe that success is largely a result of how we have held steadfast to our values,” said Laura Penney, CEO of Coeur d’Alene Casino.

The casino resort is among the largest employers in North Idaho employing between 850 to 1,100 depending on the season and contributing more than $33.3 million to education in the region since it opened. Additionally, millions have gone to public projects, emergency relief, charities and programs in the Pacific Northwest.

Three million-dollar winners have found their luck on 100,000 square feet of gaming space offering nearly 1,200 video gaming machines and high stakes bingo.

Amenities include a 15,000-square-foot spa, 40,000 square feet of meeting space, indoor and outdoor wedding locations and Circling Raven Golf Club, an 18-hole, par 72 course.

The property features 300 rooms and suites, six distinct food and beverage venues and entertainment as well as hands-on tours and experiences through the casino’s Cultural Tourism Program.

“We’ve long used the slogan, ‘Winning is Just the Beginning’ at the Coeur d’Alene Casino, but the slogan reflects much more than gambling," Penney said. "It reflects a deep cultural commitment to share our wealth, making winners of deserving individuals and charitable causes throughout the region.”

The casino is celebrating its 28th anniversary with promotions, events and specials.
