Big Sky basketball tourneys to remain in Boise through 2026

BOISE — The Big Sky Conference has reached an agreement for Boise to remain the home for the league’s men’s and women’s basketball championships through 2026, commissioner Tom Wistrcill announced.

First held in the Treasure Valley in 2019, the Big Sky Basketball Championships will continue to be played at Idaho Central Arena in downtown Boise.

The 2021 event is going on now in Boise, with the men’s semifinals and women’s championship today and the men’s title contest Saturday.

The Big Sky first went a neutral site for its basketball tournament in 2016, and for the third time utilized a request for proposal process to determine where to hold the event.

WORLEY — Circling Raven Golf Course announced it will open for the season on Friday, April 2.

The practice facility is slated to open Monday, March 22.

WSU women's soccer weekend matches cancelled

PULLMAN — Due to recent COVID-19 protocol developments within the Washington State soccer program, the Cougars matches against Cal today and Stanford on Sunday have been cancelled.

The games will not be rescheduled.

WSU said it will work within the university's and the county's return to play protocol to determine a suitable date to safely return to competition.
