CASA's 'Ray of Hope' set for March 18

| March 12, 2021 1:00 AM

North Idaho CASA's annual Ray of Hope Lunch is scheduled on Thursday, March 18 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Keynote speaker Tammy Strait will explore her first year in advocacy and the hope she sees when representing child victims in court. A special adoption story will be celebrated and the Distinguished Service for Victim Advocacy Award will be presented, as well.

Messages of Hope is the event’s virtual option. Community members can donate at any level and show support for the child victims CASA serves.

A nonprofit, CASA supports trained advocates for more than 400 child abuse and neglect victims in North Idaho. Advocates investigate child protection cases, represent the child’s best interest in court and help find them a safe home.

Pepper Smock and Windermere/Coeur d’Alene Realty are once again the corporate sponsors.

Tickets are $25. Doors open at 11:30 and the program begins at noon. The public is welcome.
