Three taken to Kootenai Health following crash

Three people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 41 Thursday afternoon.

According to the Idaho State Police, Kenneth J. Buell, 64, Boise, was northbound in a 2018 Kenworth tractor and pulling a trailer when he stopped to make a left-hand turn at milepost 8 north of Rathdrum about 3:50 p.m.

Becky K. Dow, 43, Spirit Lake, was also northbound in a 2011 Toyota Sienna van and collided with the rear of the truck, ISP reported. Dow and two juvenile passengers were transported to Kootenai Health. Buell was not injured in the crash, ISP said.

The roadway was blocked about an hour.

An investigation continues.
