Ridge Lovett

Lovett, a sophomore from Post Falls High, finished second in the Big Ten Conference Championships last weekend, falling 5-3 to top seeded Sammy Sasso of Ohio State in the 149-pound finals. Lovett entered the tournament as the seventh seed and beat second seed Max Murin of Iowa 11-6 in the quarterfinals and Michael Blockhus of Minnesota 2-1 in overtime in the semifinals. Lovett qualified for the NCAA Tournament at 133 pounds in 2020 and was a third team All-American after the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.

Brayden Huber

University of Mary wrestling

Huber, a redshirt sophomore from Post Falls high, qualified for the Division II championships starting on Friday in St. Louis. Huber, who will compete at 165 pounds, will face Alex Faranchak of Gannon in the opening round. It is the second straight year Huber has qualified for nationals, and was seeded eighth in last year's tournament before it was canceled due to the pandemic on the eve of the tournament. Huber is 6-3 and unseeded this year.

Klaire Mitchell

Mitchell, a sophomore from Lake City High, broke the program's Division I-era career assists record, leading the Lopes to a 25-27, 25-21, 25-14, 25-22 win against California Baptist in Riverside on Monday. Mitchell delivered 54 assists to bring her two-year career tally to 1,436 assists, breaking the previous record of 1,427 that was set in three seasons by Michelle Steagall (2014-16). Mitchell also tied the four-set record of 54 that she set Jan. 26 vs. Tarleton. Mitchell had 36 assists in Tuesday's match vs. California Baptist, taking her career total to 1,472.
