Legislative town hall Saturday in Rathdrum

RATHDRUM — Local legislators will update constituents Saturday in Rathdrum on the bills and issues facing the Idaho House and Senate.

The two-hour town hall begins at 10 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13541 W. Highway 53.

The town hall, sponsored by both the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee and the Young Republicans of Kootenai County, will feature local lawmakers — all Republican — who will provide insights and progress reports on legislation moving through Boise.

Idaho’s 66th legislative session has covered a wide spectrum of issues, from tax relief to voting rights to the right to assemble, though no issue in recent memory has inspired more Idaho legislation than COVID-19.
