CHS Viking Booster Club virtual auction starts today

| March 10, 2021 1:02 AM

Starting today and running through Friday, the Coeur d'Alene High School Booster Club will open bidding for free to all community members wanting to support the 23 sports and clubs the Coeur d’Alene High School Boosters help throughout the year.

“We were all set to go last March and then had to cancel because of COVID. Most of our baskets and packages were able to be renewed for this year,” auction chair Ann Wilkey said. “We have around 150 awesome items up for bid. Most items are designated for funds to go directly to the sport or club that secured the donation.”

Most sports and clubs have been meeting in a reduced capacity, but still are in need of extra funds. The booster club could not afford to postpone its 2021 only major fundraising event, so decided to go virtual, just to be safe.

Unique items include a reserved parking space for the year, a McCall getaway, a hot air balloon dream date, Schweitzer Mountain Resort condo rental, custom cornhole boards, Gonzaga gear and golf at Hayden Lake Country Club among many other items from local restaurants and coffee shops.

In lieu of a raise the paddle, donations can go directly to help fund the Viking Court American Flag project. Sponsorship dollars currently total $2,250 of the $8,000 total needed. BSN Sports is matching $2500 to the CHS athletic/activity funds. Auction items can be seen at vikingboosters.maestroweb.com

Registration is free and winners will be announced after the auction closes on Friday at 8 p.m. Items and certificates can be picked up on the morning of Saturday, March 13 at CHS. Register at vikingboosters.maestroweb.com
