Once a year, each of the Panhandle Cone & Coffee locations throws a free ice cream day with all tips going to community organizations, and this year Coeur d’Alene is included.

Brand-new to Coeur d’Alene’s midtown strip, Panhandle Cone & Coffee is handing out free kids cups of its creamy (and dairy-free) creations to the community from noon to 8 p.m. today. Supporting its neighbor, the Idaho Youth Ranch, all tips and donations given to Panhandle’s staff will help Kootenai County families adopt through the Idaho Youth Ranch’s adoption services.

“We are really trying to be intentional about being in the community, and this is one of the ways we are doing that — by helping local Kootenai families,” said Seth Wallenburn, manager of the Panhandle Cone & Coffee Coeur d’Alene location.

Panhandle Cone & Coffee originates from Sandpoint, with locations in Moscow and Coeur d’Alene.

Location: 849 N. Fourth St., Cd'A
