CARTOON: Doesn’t add up

| March 7, 2021 1:00 AM

I have to admit that I did not understand the cartoon on the opinion page in The Press on Feb. 28. I became a Democrat with an interest in protecting the environment when the Frank Church Wilderness was created. I am a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. I’ve never smoked a cigar, or beaten anyone with a tree limb. I hope someone from the right will enlighten me as to the meaning of that cartoon, and the term “Cancel Culture.”

The best definition I have found to date is that “Cancel Culture” is a concept predicated on categorizing particular views as verboten and those views are often ones that overlap with a sense that white men are imperiled.

My first introduction to Trump was of him bragging on TV about grabbing women by the “p…y” and claiming “they like it.” So tell me, please, of what free speech has the right been robbed?
