PRESS: Reader’s deep appreciation
I received a phone call from a delightful lady at the Coeur d’Alene Press. The call had to be placed twice from her because the first one didn’t connect properly, but she didn’t give up.
She was calling to check on my welfare because she said my Press carrier had noticed my newspapers piling up and they wanted to know if I was OK. Wow! What great service and the thought that a Press carrier took the time to check on me because he/she felt I might be having an issue was totally unexpected.
Fortunately, it wasn’t me. Right house number, wrong street but I know my Press carrier would do the same for me as he knows there are a number of seniors living on my street. We get extra service because he makes sure to place the newspapers right by our front doors, especially in the winter months.
I just want to say thank you for having employees who care enough to check on people, especially in this severe heat. Their care and concern for Coeur d’Alene Press customers and most likely everyone as they work their routes is beyond anything I could have imagined.
That service is worth the price of the newspaper alone. What a great place this is to live. Please thank your carriers for this outstanding service to the community.
The world is a better place when we all look out for one another. And don’t forget to tip your newspaper carrier generously.
