VERDICT: Story isn’t over

| June 27, 2021 1:00 AM

It takes a high degree of delusion to seek acclaim for utter failures. Recently, Tara Malek, a lawyer married to failed congressional candidate and fake-Republican Luke Malek, was honored in the business section. When asked to name her greatest accomplishment, Tara cited the overturning of a jury verdict that is now on appeal.

Although the article stops there, let me translate — as I am the person who actually won that case. Tara lost a UNANIMOUS jury verdict on ALL 4 counts. After 15 hours of deliberations, the jury declared that my HOA discriminated on the basis of my faith by trying to shut down my charity Christmas show that raises money for children with cancer. GMA, Fox News, and even CNN hailed the victory.

It is true that Judge Winmill overturned the verdict — but not on appeal. Rather, he replaced the decision with his own. Earlier this month, I filed a Misconduct Complaint against Winmill with the Chief Judge of the 9th Circuit for attempting to rig the jury. Transcripts show jurors admitting to “prejudice” and “bias,” even as the judge refused to dismiss them.

But even if one believes it was Ms. Malek’s writing skills that caused Judge Winmill to do what he did “for the first time in 31 years on the bench,” rather than one last hurrah for a left-wing activist judge sticking it to evangelical Christians who DARED to use the Fair Housing Act (white Evangelical Christians aren’t supposed to use the Fair Housing Act), is circumventing a jury after losing a case considered an achievement? Losing a case to a unanimous jury in an effort to illegally stop a Christmas show raising money for children with cancer? YOU GO, TARA!
