OLD AGE: Nothing to laugh at

| June 25, 2021 1:00 AM

Being the same age, I am finding it easier each day to empathize with our president. More often than I care to admit, simple words escape me and I have to find help in remembering what they are, i.e. “It’s like a large football. Green on the outside, and red on the inside with lots of black seeds. What do you call it?”

Or I’ll misuse words such as referring to someone’s sad “countenance,” I’ll say their sad “continence.” People simply laugh behind my back and say, “He’s losing it.”

I refer to this as having a “Biden moment.” But it’s different with our president; he is the leader of the free world.

How many times have we heard him ramble on in answering a question and never get to the point, or in giving a rare press conference, start out by saying, “I’ve been given a list here on who to call on” suggesting someone else is running the show. Or “I might get into trouble if I answer that.”

Serious question: Is President Biden our leader or is he being manipulated by an outside force?
