Lee scores three as Timbers team wins again

SALT LAKE CITY — Landon Lee scored a hat trick as the Timbers North FC 05 boys soccer team finished 2-0 in U16 group play with a 6-1 victory over Colorado on the second day of play of the U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup on Thursday at Regional Athletic Complex.

Bryce Allred added two goals and one assist for the Timbers, Isaac Fritts scored one goal, Cooper Prohaska and Jacob Ukich each had an assist and Miles Taylor recorded five saves in goal.

The Timbers play Cruz Azul of Utah today.

The Timbers North FC 04 boys played to a 4-4 tie vs. Rapids South of Aurora, Colo., on Thursday in the U17 division.

Kohrt Weber scored two goals for the Timbers, who are 0-1-1 in group play. Lance Gilmore and Noah Janzen each scored one goal, and Joseph Sarkis and Evan Lowder each had an assist. The Timbers match up against Aggies FC of Utah today to conclude group play.

The Thorns FC 06 girls lost 3-1 to Aftershock FC California North on Thursday in the U15 division.

Alexa Sheppard scored on an assist from Reagan Bailey for the Thorns, 0-2 in group play.

The Thorns play a team from Arizona today to conclude group play.
